Using the vintage pearl mosaic bead as a jumping-off point, I made a tassel to hang below and a little scallop bead crown to sit atop. The pendant hangs from a continuous (no-clasp) strand of stripey, weathered, brownish-grey Java gooseberry beads, with tiny, matte, cranberry seed bead spacers. Subtle colors, but a bold composition of shapes.
Strung on Soft Flex beading wire. 28" long to the top of the pendant. The mosaic bead is 1-1/4" diameter, and the pendant is 6-1/4" long. It's opera-length, so it's especially beautiful on dresses and tunics.
